2012...India....new year...new beginning..what happened?
I boarded a plane a little more than a month ago to go to India--a call God had placed on my heart. I knew the reason in going on the missions trip was the lepers. Did God create me with three smaller fingers, because He knew that I would be doing this 20 years later? I am not sure, but He did indeed use His daughter.

God opened my eyes to see the people in India who need that same touch like we do here--love, affirmation, that hand holding theirs. All of us are the same--we are people, but only in a different part of the world with less than we have here. A little girl would come up to me and say, 'Mommy' 'Mommy'. The love those kids desperately want is apparent. When our team went to the different places (HIV/Aids camp, the school, VBS, the leper camp, Water Well dedication), we were honored and respected with garlands of flowers, and flower petals. They showed love. I do want to continue to be the hands and feet of Jesus, but I realized your fleshly nature is the same as it is there. He showed me the importance of loving God and loving others.

I am curious to see what God has for me this year, 2012.

Dearest Rachel,
Seeing the pictures of you in India with the precious children makes me cry.
I'm so pleased that you were able to make the trip to India and to hear how you were stretched only to find God there to meet you at every turn.
In looking at the children's pictures I'm struck by their beautiful eyes and smiles, especially the little girl that called Mommy.
I'm certain that you left a part of your heart there in India.
I hope you are able to share more.
Grateful that you are back home safe and sound.
Love...Susan
It's awesome to see God using you through your trip. I'm actually headed to India in June for a two month short term trip to shadow some long term missionaries. I'm so excited to see what God has in store for me while I'm there. Walking in His Grace, Bethany
This was beautiful! First of all, it was wonderful to hear from you on how the missions trip went. It looks and sounds like God has used you in a mighty way! That must be so exciting, thrilling, and humbling! I've been praying for you, my friend, and I am so glad that God has answered my prayers- that you would show bottomless love for these people, and that they would see the light of Jesus shining through you. :)
It makes me so excited, reading this post. I used to not like the thought of going overseas for a missions trip because I never thought I could do it. But reading about and hearing from other people who have done it makes me want to do it as well! I don't know if the Lord has it in His will, but I do pray that He will use me to let His light shine. I want that more than anything.
God bless you!!!!!
Love, Sarah
Thank you everyone for your comments!
Love you all!
And how exciting to hear, Bethany, about you going to India!
Father,
I pray for Bethany that You will protect and guide her. In Jesus Name Amen
Blessings,
Rachel
